Place the foam ball above the airflow, and the airflow hits the ball to prevent it from falling. When the ball jumps out of the airflow, the surrounding air will push it back into the airflow, because the surrounding air velocity is low and the pressure is high, while the air velocity in the airflow is high and the pressure is low. This is the Bernoulli effect.
